Hodess Cleanrooms was contracted by The University of Iowa to provide design assistance and a turnkey installation of a GMP cleanroom facility in Iowa City, IA. The cleanroom is being used for early phase Cell Therapy Production. During the build out of the project, the University installed Biospherix (www.Biospherix.com) Isolator units which provide a closed ISO 5 environment for manufacturing of clinical grades products. Their isolator units allow for future expansions and diversification while provide constant monitoring of temperature, pressure, CO2 and O2 levels. HCC provide bulk-heading of these units within the modular systems to keep the heat load of the isolators out of the cleanroom area as well provide a service and maintenance area for the equipment.
