Fall Brings New Beginnings for Several New Hires

So far this fall our employee roster has grown so significantly, it’s hard to keep up!

Julia Shrive, Protocol Cleaning Manager

Nov 8, 2021 — Julia has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Everest University in Orlando, Fla. Her previous experience includes Area Manager for Custodial Services Orange County Public Schools, managing over 200 custodians at 45 schools. Julia will be working with Project Manager Steve Pitts and Assistant Project Manager Chris Annis on the GM/LG Ultium Battery Plant project in Warren, Ohio.

Jennifer Lian, Project Manager

Oct 4, 2021 — Jennifer joined HCC as project manager. Her previous project management experience includes Project Manager at Intercounty Engineering in Pompano Beach, Fla., and Poole & Kent in Miami. She has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University (Potsdam, N.Y.) and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Castleton State College (Castleton, Vt.). We’ve pulled Jennifer out of the warm winters of Florida to project manage the Cell Script project in Madison, Wis., and the Watson-Marlow project in Devens, Mass.

Richard Willis, Superintendent

Oct 4, 2021 — Richard hails from Sunrise, Fla., with a resume that includes General Superintendent at Gilbane Building Company and related experience at Kaufman Lynn Construction. Richard will be working with HCC’s Sr. Project Manager Jim Rotatori and Project Manager Ben Corriveau, supporting the Abzena project in Sanford N.C. He has a certificate in Construction Management from the University of Hartford.  

Lisa Rand, Assistant Project Manager

Sep 20, 2021 — Lisa joined Hodess on September 20, 2021. Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Central Connecticut State University. Lisa has had previous experience as a project manager at Connecticut Carpentry Corporation in Rocky Hill CT. Lisa will be working with Gary Allain on the MIT Nano project in Cambridge, MA and the Collogen project in Oakland, NJ. 

Rohan Ayachit, Assistant Project Manager

Sep 13, 2021 — After a successful stint as a summer intern, Rohan has been brought on as full-time APM. A recent graduate of the Wentworth Institute of Technology, with a major in Mechanical Engineering, Rohan’s has previous experience as a Project Engineer and Field Engineer at DPR Construction in Cambridge and Randolph, Mass, respectively. He will be working with Project Managers Tim Ouellette and Mike Farrell on the Northrop Grumman projects in Linthicum, Md.

Ryan Langenfeld, Assistant Superintendent

Sep 13, 2021 — Ryan’s joins the Hodess team with a background in operating his own fencing and landscaping business as well as working as a laborer erecting temporary retaining walls, installing tiles, and doing finish work. Ryan is working with Project Manager Steve Pitts and Assistant Project Manager Chris Annis in supporting the GM/LG Ultium Battery Plant project in Lordstown, Ohio.

Steven Johanson, Assistant Superintendent

Sep 9, 2021 — A part-time student, Steven is currently finishing up is bachelor’s in science at Rhode Island’s Roger Williams University, with a major in Construction Management. He has prior construction experience with Curtis Construction Company in Stoughton, Mass. Steven will be working with Project Manager Steve Pitts and Assistant Project Manager Chris Annis, in support of the GM/LG Ultium Battery Plant project in Lordstown, Ohio.

Giovanni Berardinelli, Superintendent

Sep 7, 2021 — Giovanni holds a certificate in Construction Supervision and Architectural Engineer Technology Program from Wentworth Institute of Technology. His previous experience includes A. Prete Construction Company, the Downes Construction Company, and the Morganti Group, both located in Connecticut. He is at the Novartis AAA project in Indianapolis, Ind.

Tony Cavallaro, Pre-construction Design Manager

Sep 7, 2021 — Tony comes to us with 47 years of experience in construction design. He was the founder and president of North Quincy-based JACA Architects, which focused on health care and the life sciences, experience that will greatly benefit the work of HCC. Two of his recent projects include the Needham Medical Office Building in Needham, Mass., and the Surgery Center in Worcester, Mass. Tony bring his combined love of design and medicine to his role of pre-construction design manager, and we couldn’t be happier to have his depth of knowledge and expertise.
